The village of Mahomet's board of appeals will meet this evening.
The board will hold a public hearing on issuing a variance of 15 feet for three lots on Franklin Street. The variance would shift the rear yard setback of the lots from 25 to 10 feet to expand the Cornbelt Fire Protection District. The board will then consider a resolution to issue the variance.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Mahomet Village Administrative Office, located at 503 E. Main St. There are no other items on the agenda and no future meetings scheduled. The Mahomet board of appeals meets on the third Wednesday of the month, as needed.
