Report: At International Prep Academy, Black student rule-breaking rate notably exceeds that of Hispanic students

Black students, constituting 12.9% or 66 of International Prep Academy's total student population of 510, accounted for 15 out of the 20 total suspensions (75%) in the 2021-22 school year, averaging roughly one suspension per four students, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fully involved detached garage fire in the 1600 block of Parkside Terrace, Thursday, November 23 at 2:16 p.m. Fire crews worked to keep the fire from extending into the home.
