The Illinois football team will play its final regular season game against Northwestern on Saturday, November 29. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Central Time and will be broadcast on FOX, according to an announcement from the conference office and television partners.
This game, which features the Fighting Illini facing the Wildcats for the Land of Lincoln Trophy, coincides with Illinois' Senior Night. It marks the first time a night game in November will take place at Gies Memorial Stadium.
Other games set for that weekend include Iowa playing Nebraska on CBS at noon Eastern Time (11 a.m. Central) on Friday, November 28; Indiana versus Purdue on NBC at 7:30 p.m. Eastern (6:30 p.m. Central) that evening; Ohio State meeting Michigan on FOX at noon Eastern (11 a.m. Central) Saturday; Wisconsin taking on Minnesota and Penn State facing Rutgers in afternoon games; and Maryland playing Michigan State at Ford Field later that evening.
"The Fighting Illini and Wildcats will battle for the Land of the Lincoln Trophy on Illinois' Senior Night. It will be the first November night game in Gies Memorial Stadium history," stated the release.
