Rep. Mary Miller, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Illinois’ 15th district, posted a series of statements on her social media account reflecting on the legacy of Charlie Kirk and expressing concerns about state policies regarding commercial driver’s licenses.
On September 15, 2025, Miller wrote, "Charlie Kirk believed in the American Dream, the right to life, and the truth of the Gospel. He gave his life for those principles. We must honor him by carrying forward the movement he built."
Later that day, she addressed state-level immigration policies: "Sanctuary states like California and Illinois are giving commercial driver’s licenses to illegals. This is a national security threat. America’s roads and supply chain must be protected, not handed over to illegal aliens!!"
On September 16, Miller continued her remarks about Kirk: "Charlie Kirk encouraged millions of young Americans to love their country, defend their faith, and engage in civic life. He gave them hope. His legacy will bear fruit beyond imagination. I was honored to introduce a resolution to recognize it."
Mary Miller has represented Illinois’ 15th district since replacing John Shimkus in 2021. She secured her seat with significant margins in both the 2020 and 2022 general elections against Erika Weaver and Paul Lange respectively.
