On June 18, staff from the Neighborhood Services Department contributed their time to assist a Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County homebuild on Cypress Drive. The staff participated in siding installation for the new home, which is part of several construction projects led by Habitat for Humanity aimed at increasing access to safe and affordable housing in the community.
The City of Champaign continues to be an active partner in these initiatives by providing land donations, site preparation, and financial support for building materials.
