Illinois women's golf faces tough conditions at NCAA Columbus Regional

The Fighting Illini women's golf team faced challenging weather conditions during the second round of the NCAA Columbus Regional at The Ohio State University Golf Course. Despite the rain and wind, the team managed a score of 311 (+23), placing them in 10th position, eight strokes away from securing a top-five spot.

Yurang Li is tied for 10th place after scoring a 77 (+5) in this round. Lexanne Halama posted a 76 (+4), marking the lowest score by an Illinois golfer today, and she is currently tied for 25th. Anna Ritter and Brielle Mapanao are both tied for 47th with scores of 81 (+9) and 80 (+8), respectively. Victoria Zheng stands tied for 53rd following her third-round score of 78 (+6).

Currently leading the tournament is Arkansas with a total score of four-over (580). Individually, Kansas' Lyla Louderbaugh leads at five-under (139).

The Fighting Illini will resume play tomorrow morning, starting on hole No. 10 at 7:55 a.m. CT.
