Fighting Illini women's golf team concluded the second round of the Florida State Match Up in Tallahassee, Florida, securing second place with a team score of 299 (+11) at Seminole Legacy Golf Club. The team trails behind hosts and leaders Florida State by 13 strokes going into the final round.
Two Illinois golfers, Victoria Zheng and Lexanne Halama, are tied for third place at 1-over (145). Both players started their rounds on No. 1, each shooting a 35 (-1) on the front nine. Halama achieved this without any bogeys. Zheng finished her round with a score of 74 (+2), while Halama posted a 75 (+3).
