Fighting Illini women's golf team is preparing to participate in the Spring Break Shootout at Lake Jovita Golf Club, Dade City, Florida. The event, hosted by Western Kentucky University, will take place over two days from March 17 to March 18.
The tournament will be held on the South Course of Lake Jovita Golf Club. Designed by architect Kurt Sandness and former PGA Tour professional Tom Lehman in 1999, the course is set up as a par 71 and measures 6,076 yards.
Thirteen teams are scheduled to compete in this 54-hole tournament. The format includes shotgun starts at 7:45 a.m. CT on both days, with continuous play for 36 holes on Monday and an additional 18 holes on Tuesday.
Teams participating alongside Illinois include Bradley, Daytona State, Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville State, Memphis, Nebraska, New Mexico State, Seminole State, Stetson, St. John's, Troy and Western Kentucky.
The lineup for Illinois features Anna Ritter at No.1 position followed by Yurang Li at No.2. Victoria Zheng takes the No.3 spot while Brielle Mapanao and Lexanne Halama occupy No.4 and No.5 respectively. Erica Lee will compete as an individual participant.
This marks the first appearance of Fighting Illini at the Spring Break Shootout.

Following this event, Illinois will head to Tallahassee for the Florida State Matchup at Seminole Legacy Golf Club starting Friday, March 21.
