The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) has announced its 2025 preseason coaches poll, positioning the University of Illinois women's gymnastics team at No. 22. This marks the 15th time in the last 16 seasons that Illinois has secured a place within the top 25 rankings.

All Big Ten women's gymnastics programs received recognition in this year's poll, with Illinois being one of nine teams from the conference to be listed among the top 25.

For the upcoming season, Illinois is bringing back nine letterwinners, including team captain Amelia Knight, who will use her fifth year of eligibility. Head coach Nadalie Walsh has also strengthened her squad by adding seven freshmen and two transfer students.

The team's schedule includes their annual Orange and Blue meet on December 14 before they start their official season at Ball State on January 12.
