Illinois softball experienced a setback in their series finale against Rutgers at the RU Softball Complex, losing 4-1. This defeat leaves the Fighting Illini with a record of 21-25 and 5-13 in conference play. On the other hand, the Scarlet Knights improved their standings to 19-33 overall and 3-16 within the league.
