Illinois will continue its three-game homestand by hosting SIUE on Friday at 7 p.m. at the State Farm Center in Champaign. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be seated by 6:30 p.m. for a pregame ceremony celebrating the 2024 NCAA Elite Eight and Big Ten Tournament Championship.
The ceremony will honor Illinois' successful 2023-24 season, which ended with 29 victories, marking it as the third-winningest season in school history. Rings will be presented to returning players, coaches, managers, and staff. Illinois claimed its third conference championship in four years by capturing the 2024 Big Ten Tournament crown in Minneapolis. Head Coach Brad Underwood became the first Illini coach to win multiple BTT titles. The team earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the NCAA East Regional Final after defeating No. 2 seed Iowa State in the Sweet 16.
Remarks from Underwood will be part of the ceremony, which will conclude with unveiling and raising the banner for the Elite Eight run and Big Ten Tournament title.
State Farm Center doors open 90 minutes before game time. For those unable to attend, FightingIllini.com will stream the pregame ceremony live.
