The University of Illinois has released its baseball schedule for the 2025 season. The team is set to play a total of 52 games, with 21 of those taking place at their home venue, Illinois Field. The season will kick off on February 14 against Abilene Christian at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Following the opener, the Illini will face Texas State in San Marcos, Texas from February 21-23 and participate in the Las Vegas College Baseball Classic from February 28 to March 1. Their first home game is scheduled for March 4 against Eastern Illinois.
The Big Ten opener is slated for March 7 against Michigan in Vero Beach, Florida. The team's first Big Ten home game will be against Maryland on April 4. Throughout the season, Illinois will host four Big Ten series at home: Maryland, Indiana, Purdue, and UCLA. They will also compete in five Big Ten road series against Northwestern, Michigan State, Washington, Rutgers, and Ohio State. Additionally, there is one neutral-site series planned against Michigan.
