MINUTES
I. Call to Order
Committee Chair Thorsland called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.
II. Roll Call
A verbal roll call was taken, and a quorum was declared present
III. Approval of Agenda/Addenda
MOTION by Mr. Goss to approve the agenda; seconded by Ms. Michaels. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
IV. Approval of Minutes
A. Open Session – March 9, 2023
MOTION by Ms. Michaels to approve the open session minutes of March 9, 2023; seconded by Mr. Goss. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
V. Public Participation
None
VI. Closed Session Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) to consider litigation which is pending against or on behalf of Champaign County, and litigation that is probable or imminent against Champaign County
MOTION by Ms. Michaels to enter into CLOSED session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) to consider litigation which is pending against or on behalf of Champaign County, and litigation that is probable or imminent against Champaign County and that the following parties remain present: Assistant State’s Attorney, Legal Counsel, Director of Administration, County Executive and recording secretary; seconded by Mr. Goss. Upon roll call vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
Mr. Stohr entered the meeting at 4:34 p.m.
The Litigation Committee entered Closed Session at 4:34 p.m.
Mr. Summers entered the meeting at 4:37 p.m.
The Litigation Committee resumed Open Session at 5:12 p.m.
VII. Other Business
A. Approval of Closed Session Minutes
1. March 9, 2023
MOTION by Mr. Stohr to approve the closed session minutes of March 9, 2023; seconded by Ms. Michaels. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
VIII. Adjournment
Chair Thorsland adjourned the meeting at 5:13 p.m.
