Q4 2022 Recap: 2 parolees from Ford County convicted of crimes against persons set for release

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against persons living in Ford County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Chambana Sun.

The data shows both of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 41. The younger parolee was a 40-year-old man sentenced in 2022, and the oldest was a 41-year-old man sentenced in 2021.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was David K. Miller. He was convicted in 2021 when he was 39 years old. He is now 41.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of crimes against persons were paroled during the fourth quarter of 2022 in each Illinois county.
