April: Urbana experienced a 7.4% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in April in Urbana rose by $10,000 while total sales increased by 19.2 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April, there were 31 homes sold, with a median sale price of $145,000 - a 7.4 percent increase over the $135,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 26 homes sold in Urbana in April 2021.

The median sales tax in Urbana for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,285, approximately 2.3 percent of the median home sale price for April.
