Champaign County Chamber of Commerce Inc issued the following announcement on Aug. 8.
LEAD Champaign County is designed to mold young professionals into strong local leaders. Participants will gain confidence, knowledge, professionalism and new leadership skills they can bring back to their place of employment.
For the safety and well-being of the LEAD class members, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all courses for this year's program will be held virtually. Additionally, in order to insure that the participants get true value out of a virtual experience, the number of participants will be limited.

The program is a great way to connect young professionals with their peers and build strong business relationships. The value of establishing a business peer network is beneficial to both the employee and your employer.
Lead Champaign County Mission:
Attract and identify the next generation of community leaders in order to grow Champaign County. Connect young professionals with the surrounding community through unique opportunities in the area of service, leadership, and advocacy. Engage young professionals to have a vested interest in the success of our community.
The ten-week program will feature speakers each week presenting on a variety of leadership-related topics from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Test to leadership management skills and how to lead during a crisis.
