Rep. Mary Miller discusses major bill passage and Independence Day celebrations

Congresswoman Mary Miller, representing Illinois’ 15th district since 2021, has made recent announcements through her social media platform regarding significant legislative and national events. Miller, born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and currently residing in Oakland, expressed her views on various issues including the passage of a major bill and the celebration of Independence Day.

On July 3, 2025, Congresswoman Mary Miller shared that she voted to pass H.R. 1, known as the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act. In her statement following the vote, she described the legislation as “The One Big, Beautiful Bill”.

The following day, July 4th, Miller marked Independence Day with a message celebrating the founding principles of the United States. She conveyed gratitude for liberty and recognized the courage of the nation's founders. Her post stated: “Happy Independence Day! Today, we remember the founding principles that make our country great...”

Later on July 4th, Miller expressed her honor at standing with former President Donald Trump during his signing of H.R. 1 into law. She celebrated this momentous occasion by affirming her pride in America and its leadership: “It was an incredible honor to stand with President Trump this July 4th as he signed the historic One Big, Beautiful Bill into law.”

Mary Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University.
