Rich McFadden installed two exterior lights on the west end of the old gym to help with lighting during night time events.

Diane and I are attending a Levy workshop on October 17. I’ll be providing you my Levy recommendation in November for the 2019 taxes to be paid next year.
Educational Updates
On October 4, grades 1-3 visited a school district in South Beloit to receive professional development on standards-based grading, reporting, creating assessments and rubrics.
October 11 - Teacher Institute Day - AED, First Aid and CPR training.
Parent/Teacher Conferences: October 1 and 3 (Junior High) & October 29 and 30 (K-5)
6th grade - 14/17 attended
7th grade - 22/24
8th grade - 10/14
First Quarter ends October 18.
October 25 - Awards day at 2:15 p.m.

Crisis Plan Drills
Fire Drill w/Fire Dept. on October 9; K-5 presentation was given by the fire dept.
Fire Prevention Week. The fire department’s coloring contest had four winners: Falon Babb, Henry Buhr, Graham Huls and Kolbie Busboom. These students were transported to school on a fire truck. Pictures are located on on web-page and on Facebook.
Action Items
Approved minutes of the regular meeting on Sept. 25, payment of bills dated Oct. 16, Imprest fund, Petty cash reports and Backpack reports of Sept. 30 and destruction of audio tapes older than eighteen months.
Approved $2500 payment towards maintenance and upkeep of the Village Park Baseball Field.
Approved Mark Cargo as a volunteer boys basketball coach
