RANTOUL AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Trick or Treating + Trunk or Treat in Downtown Rantoul

Trick

Rantoul Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 25.

Join us! Families are welcome to come and Trick or Treat with us downtown October 31st 2019.

Stay tuned for a list of participating members

You are invited to attend the Rantoul Area Chamber’s Inaugural Trick or Treating/ Trunk or Treat event downtown on October 31st 2019. We would like to introduce this event this year, and allow members to bring their vehicles or tents downtown as a great way to hand out marketing material along with candy while you’re meeting or reconnecting with the residents of the community.

In attempt to grow our membership we are also inviting non-members in hopes that they join the chamber to help grow our resources even more for our current members. We know that working together is vital and we have a lot of plans this year to increase our connectivity between ourselves and our members as well as the entire community.

We will be closing the East block of Sangamon in between Garrard & Tanner/Kentucky. Only vehicles participating in the Trunk or Treat will have access to this area. Should the event outgrow this space, we will look at expanding the blocked section to Century Blvd. If you would like to participate please hang the attached flyer in your storefront window, connect the event to your Facebook page as a “Co-host” and contact me to reserve a space.

The Chamber will be hosting a costume contest as well as handing out candy and the hours for this event are 5-7pm. If you’re a downtown merchant please plan on letting me know as to put your location on the map that will be distributed to the public to increase your traffic flow. We encourage everyone to dress up! Let’s help make downtown the place to be for this event!
