Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Vermilion County?

There were 35 offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Vermilion County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Chambana Sun.

The data shows that 31 men and four women were released in Vermilion County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Reginald Haywood. He was convicted of a property crime in 2012 when he was 23 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Vermilion County municipality.
