Report: Cerro Gordo spent $9,279 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Cerro Gordo Community Unit School District 100 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Piatt County school district spent $8,436 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,279 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 548 to 486.

Cerro Gordo's spending in 2017-18 was 30.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
