Champaign County Board Litigation Committee met May 22. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:

I. Call to Order


     Mr. Rosales called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

II. Roll Call

     A verbal roll call was taken and a quorum was declared present.

III. Approval of Agenda and Addendum

     MOTION by Ms. Petrie to approve the agenda; seconded by Mr. Weibel. Upon vote, the

     MOTION CARRIED unanimously.

IV. Approval of Minutes

          A. Open Session Minutes – February 21, 2018

     MOTION by Ms. Petrie to approve the open session minutes of the February 21, 2018 Litigation

     Committee meeting; seconded by Mr. Weibel. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.

V. Public Participation

     None.

VI. Closed Session

     MOTION by Mr. Anderson to enter into CLOSED Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) to

     consider litigation which is pending against or on behalf of Champaign County and litigation that

     is probable or imminent against or on behalf of Champaign County and that the following parties

     remain present: Interim County Administrator, Sheriff, Budget & HR Specialist, Legal Counsel, and

     recording secretary; seconded by Ms. Petrie.

     Roll call vote:

     Aye: 5 – Anderson, Marsh, Petrie, Rosales, Weibel

     Nay: 0

     Motion carried with unanimous support.

     The Litigation Committee entered into Closed Session at 4:02 p.m.

     The Litigation Committee resumed Open Session at 4:15 p.m.

VII. Other Business

           A. Closed Session Minutes

     MOTION by Mr. Anderson to approve the CLOSED session minutes of the February 21, 2018

     Litigation Committee meeting; seconded by Mr. Marsh. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED

     unanimously.

VIII. Adjournment

     Mr. Rosales adjourned the meeting at 4:16 p.m.
