Oakwood Fire Department responded to 22 calls in 2017 - 46.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Oakwood included 17 fires - five structure fires, four vehicle fires and eight other fires.

In all, the department saw $8,000 in fire loss - or about $471 per fire.

The department also received five false calls.

The Oakwood Fire Department had an annual budget of $48,075 in 2017.
