EDISON ELEM SCHOOL: Elmhurst Police Investigating Suspicious Person Incident

Edison Elem School issued the following announcement on May 23.

On May 23rd, at approximately 3:36 p.m., the Elmhurst Police Department responded to Churchville Middle School, located at 155 Victory Parkway for a reported suspicious person. Upon the arrival of police, officers learned a 12-year-old female reported that while outside of the school shortly after dismissal, a male/Hispanic, approximately 35-40 years old, with short dark hair and a mustache, driving a Black Toyota Sienna minivan asked her if she needed a ride. The Toyota Sienna was parked in the pick-up lane of the school. The subject started to exit the vehicle and the female immediately ran away from the area. The area was checked by police, but was not able to locate the vehicle.

A school surveillance video captured a picture the vehicle in front of one of the doors. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Elmhurst Police at 630-530-3050.
