Rep. Mary Miller, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois' 15th district since 2021, recently expressed her views on leadership and the judicial system through a series of tweets. Born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959, she succeeded John Shimkus in Congress and holds a BA from Eastern Illinois University.
On March 31, 2025, Rep. Miller conveyed her support for the President, writing: "Strong leadership makes all the difference. Thank you, @POTUS!"
The following day, April 1, 2025, she criticized what she described as excessive judicial activism. Rep. Miller tweeted: "Activist federal judges are abusing their power to subvert the will of the American people. This must end. Congress must act to rein in these rogue judges and stop the nationwide injunctions that undermine our Republic."
Later, on the same day, she directed her disapproval at judges impeding former President Trump's agenda, contrasting it with their response to immigration policy under President Biden. She stated: "The same federal 'judges' rushing to deter President Trump's agenda were SILENT when Joe Biden opened our borders to an invasion of terrorists and drugs. They don’t care about the rule of law or our country."
