Report: Cerro Gordo spent $8,667 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Cerro Gordo Community Unit School District 100 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Piatt County school district spent $8,409 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,667 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 584 to 515.

Cerro Gordo's spending in 2016-17 was 33 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
