Village of Thomasboro Board of Trustees met Jan. 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Thomasboro was held on Saturday, January 6, 2018. President Evans called the meeting to order at 4:00pm.

Roll Call

The Village Clerk called the roll, finding the following members physically present: Village President W. Tyler Evans and Trustees Anthony Grilo, Anna Martin, Kyle Henegar, Dustin Rhodes, Ronda Scott, and Trent Sage.

Other Village officials present: Jeremy Reale, Village Clerk.

Trustee Grilo moved to enter into executive session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (C)(1), for the purpose of discussing the employment and/or compensation of a Village employee. Trustee Rhodes seconded the motion.

The Village Clerk called the roll:

YEAS: Grilo and Rhodes – 2

NAYS: Martin, Henegar, Scott, and Sage – 4

ABSENT: None – 0

The motion failed by roll call vote of 2 yeas and 4 nays.

Revised Employment Agreement with Robert Rea

Trustee Martin moved to authorize the approval of a revised employment agreement between the Village of Thomasboro and Robert Rea for services as Chief of Police. Trustee Scott seconded the motion.

The Village Clerk called the roll:

YEAS: Martin, Henegar, Scott, and Sage – 4

NAYS: Grilo and Rhodes – 2

ABSENT: None – 0

The motion carried by roll call vote of 4 yeas and 2 nays.

President Evans clarified that the revised agreement, as approved, removed all language concerning employee residency. All other terms and conditions remained as previously specified.

Adjournment

There being no further business to come before the Board, Trustee Grilo moved to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Henegar seconded the motion. Motion carried viva voce vote.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:05pm.
