Tolono Board of Trustees met March 27.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
The meeting of the Board of Trustees (“Board”) was called to order at 5:30 p.m. Trustees present: Jacquie Miller, Rob Murphy, Ryan and Terrence Stuber; Trustees absent were: Anna Morris, Ryan Perry, and Mike Golish. Others Present were President Jeff Holt, Clerk Dixie Phillips, Zoning Board of Appeals Administrator Randy Bachert, and Treasurer Robert Kouzmanoff.
President Holt led the Board and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Ryan Reinhart addressed the Board asked the Board about Trustee Murphy’s building and asked if the Board was setting a precedent for that case and whether or not everyone is to follow the rules and regulations of the Village Zoning Board. Trustee Murphy asked Mr. Bachert if he was getting the Zoning Board of Appeals filled and was told that they now have a quorum but would like to have more members. Trustee Murphy said they were currently looking for a new contractor to complete his project and that he hoped it could be done this summer. President Holt reminded him and the Board that Mr. Murphy had been two years to finish and apologized to Mr. Reinhart saying that if rules are made and people don’t like them, then they should be changed. Mr. Reinhart said he felt the Village officials should set a high standard for the Village. President Holt said that they tried but that some Board members don’t want to follow the rules.
At 5:42 p.m. Trustee Stuber made a motion seconded by Trustee Miller to enter into Executive Session for the limited purposes of discussing the hiring, performance, compensation and/or employment of one or more Village employees; to conduct interviews for position of Administrative Assistant, and to discuss employee related matters and to include Mr. Kouzmanoff and Ms. Phillips in the interview process. A roll call vote was taken and the following votes were cast passing the motion:
Mike Golish – Absent Jacquie Miller – Yes Anna Morris – Absent
Rob Murphy – Yes Ryan Perry – Absent Terrence Stuber – Yes
At the conclusion of the Executive Session at 8:38 p.m., Trustee Stuber made a motion seconded by Trustee Murphy to return to open session. A roll call vote was taken and the following votes were cast passing the motion:
Mike Golish – Absent Jacquie Miller – Yes Anna Morris – Absent
Rob Murphy – Yes Ryan Perry – Absent Terrence Stuber – Yes
At 8:39 p.m. Trustee Murphy made a motion seconded by Trustee Stuber to adjourn the meeting.
Motion carried; meeting adjourned.
