Gifford Board of Trustees reviews reports

The village of Gifford Board of Trustees met Dec. 1 to review various reports.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the board:

The board of trustees provides oversight, guidance and governance for the village of Gifford.

Agenda for Regular Village Board Meeting December 1, 2016

The meeting of the Board of Trustees will be called to order at 7:00 p.m.

After roll call and Pledge of Allegiance, guests will be recognized and they will be given the opportunity to present questions before the Board.

After a motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of November 3, 2016 and a second, there will

be a roll call vote. If the majority approves the motion, the President will call for a motion to accept the minutes. After a motion and a second, to accept the minutes there will be a roll call vote to approve the minutes as read.

After a motion to dispense with the reading of the bills and a second, there will be a roll call vote. If the majority approves the motion, the President will ask for any discussion on the bills. After discussion the President will ask for a motion to pay the bills.

After a motion and a second, there will be a roll call vote. If the majority approves the payment of the bills, Treasurer Christie Huls will be directed to pay the bills.

The Treasurer’s Report will be given by the Village Treasurer.

The Village Police Report will be given by the Police Chief.

The Committees will report:

• Water and Sewer Report

• Streets and Alleys Report

• Sanitary and Sewer Report

• Power, Lights and Telephone Report

• Resources Management and Public Relations Report

• Facilities, Construction and Maintenance Report

Other reports by commissioners or committees:

• ESDA

• Zoning

Old Business

Discussion and a decision on whether or not to increase the cost of golf cart stickers.

New Business

Caucus to be held on Monday, December 5th at 7 p.m.

When the business of the Board is completed, the President will ask for a motion to adjourn. After a voice vote majority, the

meeting will be adjourned.
