1. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL TAKEN, QUORUM DECLARATION

President McCleary called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with roll call taken of President McCleary and

all Trustees with President McCleary and all Trustees answering present, and a quorum declared.

2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

President McCleary led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.

3. PUBLIC COMMENT

President McCleary asked for public comment on the agenda and non-agenda items.

No public comment on agenda items.

4. OTHER AGENDA ITEMS

President McCleary asked if there were other agenda items to be added. None were added.

5. BUSINESS

A. RESOLUTION NO. 2016R-16 – A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ANIMAL

CONTROL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF SAVOY AND LEE

HOCKERSMITH D/B /A LEE’S NUISANCE

Trustee Smith made a motion to pass Resolution No. 2016R-16, as presented and to authorize the

Village Manager to execute the Animal Control Agreement Between the Village of Savoy and Lee

Hockersmith, as presented, seconded by Trustee Brown;

By Trustee Vote:

Ayes: Brown, Dykstra, Pittman, Niccum, Shonkwiler, Smith

Nays: None

Absent: None

B. APPROVE UPDATED VILLAGE OF SAVOY JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Trustee Brown made a motion to continue approval of updated Village of Savoy Job Descriptions, as

presented,

until the September 7, 2016 Board of Trustees meeting, seconded by Trustee Pittman;

By Trustee Vote:

Ayes: Brown, Dykstra, Pittman, Niccum, Shonkwiler, Smith

Nays: None

6. STAFF REPORTS

A. SAVOY VILLAGE TREASURER

President McCleary and the Trustees reviewed the Treasurer’s Revenue/Expenditure Report for

the 3 months ending July 31, 2016 and the Check Register – Schedule of Accounts Payable for

checks issued from 7/01/16 through 7/31/16.

Trustee Dykstra moved to approve and pay the Schedule of Accounts Payable for the month

ending July 31, 2016, as presented, seconded by Trustee Niccum;

By Trustee Vote:

Ayes: Brown, Dykstra, Pittman, Niccum, Shonkwiler, Smith

Nays: None

Absent: None

B. SAVOY FIRE DEPARTMENT

President McCleary and the Trustees reviewed the Savoy Fire Department Activity Report and

Fire Incident Summary for the period 7/01/16 through 7/31/16.

C. SAVOY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER

President McCleary and the Trustees reviewed the Director’s Report from Gary Zinn dated

8/1/16.

D. SAVOY RECREATION CENTER

President McCleary and the Trustees reviewed the Report dated August 2016 from Tiffany

DeSpain, Savoy Recreation Center Director.

7. ADJOURN

There being no further business to come before the Board of Trustees meeting, on motion to adjourn made

by Trustee Smith, seconded by Trustee Brown, President McCleary adjourned the open and public Board

of Trustees meeting at 7:15 pm.
