The Urbana City Council will vote on purchasing portions of four parcels during a regular meeting tonight at the Urbana City Building.
The purchases are part of the city's effort to prepare for an expansion of North Lincoln Avenue and would include parts of residential and agricultural property.
The Council will also review several ordinances and resolutions advanced by the Urbana Committee of the Whole, including one that would reduce the fine for possession of cannabis from $300 to $50 and another that would approve the city's agreement with the affordable housing group Urbana Home Consortium.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at 400 S. Vine St.
