The Rantoul Liquor Advisory Committee met Feb. 23 to discuss the best way to regulate alcohol consumption at special events.
The committee discussed increasing the number of special events held in the village, but limiting alcohol sales to a designated area. The committee also considered modeling new liquor codes allowing alcohol at special public events based on similar ordinances already implemented by Champaign and Urbana.
The committee agreed to create a summary of their discussion for review by the village board.
