The Champaign County Board Highway and Transportation Committee met Feb. 5 to advance the county's latest Motor Fuel Tax funds appropriation request to the county board.
The Motor Fuel Tax is collected by the state through a fee built into the state's gas prices, then redistributed to local governments to pay for road maintenance and other basic infrastructure.
The committee also advanced a recommendation that the county board prepare an eminent domain resolution clarifying the right of way on Lincoln Avenue.
Committee member Shana Harrison was absent.
