Urbana police advisory committee hears from mayor

The Urbana Community Alternative Policing Advisory Committee met Monday to hear updates from Mayor Laurel Prussing and others.

In addition to the mayor, the committee was briefed by Urbana Public Works, the Urbana Parks District, Alderman Aaron Ammons, and the Urbana Police Department.

The Community Alternative Policing Advisory Committee was established in 1993 by Mayor Tod Satterthwaite to provide a vehicle for resident input on policing in Urbana.
