The Champaign Unit 4 School District is taking applications for a special committee to develop a facilities plan for the district.
Five spots are open for at-large community members, who will work with local government officials and representatives from the business community to review the work of a second wing of the committee consisting of school faculty and staff. The at large members will make final recommendations to the school board on facility location, potential partnerships and financial planning.
The new committee will meet at night on alternating weeks, starting in March. Meetings will be open to the public.
Interested candidates should submit an application by e-mail or in person by 4:30 p.m. on Feb 12. Paper applications should be delivered to board president Chris Kloeppel at the Mellon Administrative Center on 703 S. New St. in Champaign.
