The Board of Education of Champaign Community Unit School District No. 4 announced Tuesday it is looking for candidates to fill an open board position.
The spot recently opened when Board Member Laurie Bonnett announced her resignation this week. Bonnett will serve until Jan 25 and her replacement will carry out the remainder of her term, which extends through April 2017.
To be eligible, candidates should be at least 18, be registered to vote and have lived within the district for at least a year.
The application is available online at www.champaignschools.org. Applications, complete with resumes, should be submitted to Kathy Shannon electronically at shannoka@champaignschools.org, or on paper at Kathy Shannon, Secretary, Board of Education, Champaign Community Unit School District No. 4, Mellon Administrative Center, 703 S. New St., Champaign, IL 61820.
The deadline is Jan 27 at 4:30 p.m.
