The December meeting of the Sidney Village Board of Trustees convened at 7 p.m. Dec. 7, beginning with the Pledge of Allegiance and approval process for the minutes of the Nov. 2 meeting.
Public comments were heard from local library representatives; President Charles White reported on village employee year-end compensation; and Paul Hendren commented on the 2015-16 tax levy ordinance.
Committee reports were followed by remarks by Earl Bennett and committee-wide approval of monthly bills via the Finance Committee. Monthly reports were made by the Street and Alley Department and Water and Drainage Department, including addressing bids submitted for the village's water tower repair.
In the public property sector, building and tree removal updates were made, along with a report from both the Emergency Services & Disaster Agency and the Parks and Recreation Department. Community development news related to the village website and a discussion of personal e-mail accounts followed.
New and old business topics were covered, leading to adjournment.
