The village of Savoy Board of Trustees held its regular meeting Nov. 18 at the Savoy Municipal Center, with no public comment, no new business and only brief reports from staff members.

Trustee Jan Carter Niccum updated the board on Champaign Unit 4 School District's recent preference for continuing to serve students though two high schools, instead of consolidating to one school or expanding to three.

Trustee John Brown recommended adding Veterans Day and Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday to the list of holidays for village staff. No action was taken.

The trustees then reviewed reports from the village treasurer, the Savoy Fire Department, the Savoy Business Development Center, and the Savoy Recreation Center.

The meeting was adjourned after 20 minutes.
