The village of Rantoul's Cross Connection Control Survey is due by the end of this month.
Public works officials distributed a copy of the survey to all Rantoul residents. The purpose of the survey is to educate residents on the potential of cross connections -- where potable and non-potable water sources mix -- and search for potential sources of cross connections in the village based on current practices and habits.
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency requires the village to administer the survey every three years. Completed surveys should be submitted to the Public Works office.
