The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has released information on recent building permits issued for projects with estimated construction values of $250,000 or more. The permits cover both commercial and residential developments in the city.
According to the department, a permit was issued on November 9, 2025, for a new multi-family dwelling at 512 W Clark St., with an estimated construction value of $1.1 million. Another permit was granted on November 12, 2025, for footing and foundation work at 310 Chalmers St., valued at $950,000.
Several residential permits were also issued on November 7, 2025. Four single-family dwellings are planned for Hogan Drive—at addresses 4536, 4538, 4540, and 4542—with each project valued at $285,000.
The total construction value for all projects in Champaign during 2025 is reported as $247,663,072.
