Illinois women’s basketball will travel to Corvallis, Oregon, to face Oregon State on Friday, November 14, 2025. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT at Gill Coliseum and will be available to watch on ESPN+.
The Illini enter the matchup after starting their season with two wins. In their last game against Illinois State, Illinois started freshmen Destiny Jackson and Cearah Parchment alongside Gretchan Dolan, Jasmine Brown-Hagger, and Berry Wallace. Head coach Shauna Green leads the team in her fourth season at Illinois with a record of 65-35.
Oregon State has also opened its season with two victories, defeating Corban and Air Force. Fifth-year guard Tiara Bolden has led the Beavers in scoring during these games. Other key contributors include sophomore Ally Schimel and junior Kennedie Shuler in the backcourt, as well as center Néné Sow and freshman forward Lara Alonso-Basurto.
Oregon State is coached by Scott Rueck, who is entering his 16th year with a record of 318-170. Last season, Oregon State finished with a 19-16 record and appeared in the NCAA Tournament.
Illinois holds a 2-0 all-time series lead over Oregon State. Their most recent meeting was last November when Kendall Bostic scored a career-high 31 points in an Illini victory.
This game marks the first of twelve scheduled road games for Illinois this season. Under Shauna Green’s leadership, Illinois has posted an overall road record of 18-16.
Sophomore forward Berry Wallace was named to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 24.5 points and nine rebounds across two games to start the season.
The Illini roster features several young players; this year’s squad averages just under twenty years old and ranks among the youngest teams in Power Five women’s basketball conferences. Only two players are older than twenty-one: Gretchan Dolan and Gisela Segura.
Illinois enters this season having lost more than three quarters of its offensive production from last year due to graduating seniors but added eight newcomers through recruiting and transfers.
Lety Vasconcelos stands out as the tallest player in program history at six feet seven inches tall—a distinction she shares with only two other players currently listed at that height within their conference peers at Purdue and UCLA.
New additions via transfer include Aaliyah Guyton from Iowa, Maddie Webber from Villanova, and graduate student Gisela Segura from LIU by way of Franklin Pierce University.
Jackie Alexander joined Illinois’ coaching staff this offseason as an assistant coach following one year at Toledo. She previously served in various collegiate coaching roles after serving as an Army officer deployed overseas.
With recruits like Destiny Jackson (class of ’25), Aaliyah Guyton (’24), and Jasmine Brown-Hagger (’23), Illinois now boasts top-ranked high school talent from three consecutive classes.
