The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has issued several building permits for projects with an estimated construction value of $250,000 or more. The permits were granted between October 30 and October 31, 2025.
A commercial permit was issued for a mall jewelry store at 2000 N Neil St., Unit 240, with a construction value of $318,802 on October 30. On October 31, eight residential permits were issued for new single-family dwellings located at addresses ranging from 4510 to 4534 Hogan Dr., each valued at $285,000.
According to the Building Safety Division, the total year-to-date construction value in Champaign for 2025 stands at $243,497,778.
