Second Street in Champaign will be closed between Armory Avenue and Gregory Drive from November 5 to November 7, 2025. The closure is necessary for crane placement and material delivery at 105 E. Armory Avenue by Sub 4 Construction.
According to the City of Champaign, "In order to complete crane placement and material delivery at 105 E. Armory Avenue, Sub 4 Construction will close Second Street between Armory Avenue and Gregory Drive. The closure begins today, November 5, and will reopen on Friday, November 7, 2025, weather permitting. During the closure, Second Street will be closed to through traffic, but access will be maintained to all local properties via Gregory Drive."
Local property access will remain available through Gregory Drive during this period.
