A statement from Ameren Illinois explained: "In order to relocate a gas main, Ameren Illinois has closed one northbound lane of Prospect Avenue between Union Street and Healey Street. The closure began on Monday, October 13, and will reopen on Monday, November 3, 2025. During the closure, northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the area."
The lane reduction is expected to impact traffic flow along this section of Prospect Avenue until the work is completed.
