Rep. Mary Miller, U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district, posted a series of tweets on October 7, 2025, criticizing Democratic policies and expressing support for law enforcement actions in Illinois.

In her first post at 14:42 UTC, Miller addressed the ongoing government shutdown by stating, "Today is Day 7 of the Democrat Shutdown. Democrats have held the government hostage for an entire week, blocking funding and critical assistance to Americans."

Later that day at 17:34 UTC, she commented on economic challenges facing Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, writing, "Over half the businesses on the Magnificent Mile are gone. Why? Because JB Pritzker’s pro-crime, sanctuary, cashless-bail agenda is driving families and jobs out of Chicago. Illinois deserves better."

In her final tweet at 20:59 UTC, Miller voiced support for the National Guard's presence in Illinois in relation to immigration enforcement efforts: "Illinois stands strong with the National Guard on the ground! These brave men and women will ensure radical mobs can’t obstruct ICE and Border Patrol. Criminal aliens will be deported. Law and order will prevail!"

Miller has represented Illinois’ 15th district since replacing John Shimkus in 2021. She won her seat by defeating Paul Lange in the 2022 general election with over 71% of the vote and previously defeated Erika Weaver in 2020 with more than 73% of ballots cast.
