Illinois has announced its 2026 spring baseball schedule, which features 24 home games at Illinois Field in Champaign. The team will play a total of 53 regular season games.
The season is set to begin on February 13 with an away game against the University of South Florida in Tampa. The home opener will take place on March 3 against Eastern Illinois. Illinois' first Big Ten matchup is scheduled for March 6 at USC, while the first conference home game will be on March 13 against Minnesota.
The Illini's Big Ten home series this season include matchups with Minnesota, Rutgers, Oregon, Nebraska, and Northwestern. On the road, they will face USC, Penn State, Purdue, Iowa, and Indiana. Non-conference tournaments are also part of the early season schedule with appearances at the Coastal Carolina Tournament in Conway and the Greenville Tournament in South Carolina.
