On September 27, 2025, the Victor Street Neighborhood Watch organized a meet and greet event for families who recently moved into the neighborhood. The gathering provided an opportunity for neighbors to share a meal, connect with one another, and learn about their community.
According to organizers, such events help introduce new residents to group leaders, collect feedback on local needs, and encourage volunteer participation in future activities. Funding for the event was provided through small grants from the City of Champaign.
