BHRA announces sports updates and student recognition in early October tweets

Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative High School (BHRA) announced several updates this week on its official Twitter account, including a canceled soccer match, recognition for its boys golf team, and the selection of a student of the month.

On October 1, 2025, BHRA posted that " Soccer Match Canceled Today's match at Decatur-St. Teresa (Wednesday, Oct. 1) has been canceled."

The following day, October 2, BHRA congratulated its golf team for their performance in a regional competition: " Huge congrats to our Blue Devils Boys Golf Team on placing 3rd overall at the 2025 IHSA Regional at Turtle Run! They advance to Sectionals on Oct. 6 at Oak Brook GC! Big thanks to Turtle Run GC for the amazing hospitality!"

Later on October 2, the school recognized a student achievement: "Congratulations to our September Student of the Month, Emily Key!"

Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative High School serves grades 9 through 12 and is located in Bismarck within Vermilion County. The school reported an enrollment of 334 students during the 2019-2020 academic year according to data from the Illinois Report Card (source). During that period, grade distribution was as follows: grade 9 comprised about one quarter of students; grade 10 had the highest concentration with over one quarter; grades 11 and 12 each accounted for roughly a quarter as well (source). The school's demographic makeup included more than ninety percent white students, with smaller percentages identifying as black, Hispanic or Asian (source).
