Illinois football’s homecoming game against USC to air nationally on FOX

The Illinois football team, ranked #9 nationally, will face #25 USC in a homecoming game on Saturday, September 27. The matchup is set for an 11 a.m. CT kickoff and will be broadcast nationally on FOX, according to an announcement from the Big Ten Conference and its television partners.

This game marks the first meeting between Illinois and USC since the 2008 Rose Bowl Game, which followed the 2007 season. It will also be USC's first trip to Champaign since 1996.

Tickets for the Illinois vs. USC game are sold out. Fans seeking tickets are directed to SeatGeek, which serves as the official ticket marketplace for Illinois Athletics.

Before hosting USC, Illinois (3-0) will travel to face #19 Indiana (3-0) on Saturday, September 20. That contest is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. CT start and will air on NBC.

Other games scheduled for September 27 include Rutgers at Minnesota on BTN at 11 a.m. CT; Ohio State at Washington on CBS at 2:30 p.m. CT; Indiana at Iowa on Peacock at 2:30 p.m. CT; UCLA at Northwestern on BTN at 2:30 p.m. CT; and Oregon at Penn State on NBC at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Illinois’ upcoming homecoming game against USC has drawn national attention due to both teams’ rankings and their history in major bowl games.
