The University of Illinois women's golf team will compete in the Badger Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin, from September 14 to 16. This marks the team's first appearance at the event in 17 years.

The tournament will be played as a 54-hole stroke-play competition, with one round scheduled each day. Tee times for Sunday and Monday are set for 9 a.m. CT, while Tuesday's final round will use a shotgun start at the same time.

University Ridge Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., is set up as a par-72 layout spanning 6,297 yards. The course has hosted several collegiate events and serves as the venue for Wisconsin's boys' and girls' state golf championships.

Illinois is among 14 teams competing this year. Other participating programs include Wisconsin, Iowa, Denver, Washington State, Delaware, Sam Houston, St. Thomas, South Dakota State, Colorado State, Western Kentucky, Bradley, Western Michigan, and Green Bay.

The Fighting Illini lineup consists of Anna Ritter, Alexis Myers, Brielle Mapanao, Victoria Zheng, and Erica Lee. Tavia Burgess will compete as an individual.

This is Illinois' twelfth appearance at the Badger Invitational—previously known as the Lady Badger Invitational—with their best finish being first place in 1982. Their most recent showing was ninth place in 2008.

Live scoring will be available through Scoreboard powered by Clippd. Recaps and results are expected to be posted after each day of play.

After completing play in Madison, Illinois plans to participate in the Windy City Collegiate Classic hosted by Northwestern from September 29 to 30.
